Is there a non-blockchain app similar to yours?
No there isn’t. Soniq Stars is the first global Massive Online Multi-Contest Talent Show. We crowdsourced both the competing and the judging processes while still keeping everything transparent and fair.
There is a variety of music contest apps and websites, but most of them rely on social media and “likes”. None of them reward people for judging contestants.
Did you have an ICO?
No. We are entirely self-funded. But we did allow The Cypherfunks holders to swap their FUNK for SONIQ while we were starting out. You can read all about it in this article.
What's the technical specification of the token?
It’s an Ethereum ERC-20 token based on a audited and secure smart contract. It has a fixed supply of 50 million tokens and 18 decimal places which leaves plenty room for growth and poses no lower limit for token usability.
What about premines or instamines?
We held onto 10% of the supply for development, marketing, and growth. We will be using that SONIQ to bootstrap our first contests and to grow our musician base.
We are transparent with our community about how we use those tokens, and you can see them on this address. Feel free to join our community and ask any questions.
Is your token SEC compliant?
Yes, SONIQ is a utility token, not an equity, according to the Howey test.
What milestones do you have in place?
We will be releasing a public roadmap soon. Until then, join our community and feel free to ask us any questions you have. Don’t be a stranger!
Are you a nonprofit or a for-profit organization?
We are a self-funded, privately owned, for-profit startup.
Do you have a Github profile?
Yes, we do, but there’s nothing there. The platform itself is proprietary software. The only source code we will make public is the smart contracts for our voting system.
